Howdy, I’m a highly skilled video editor specializing in commercial, documentary, and short-form content based in Colorado and available for work remote or onsite worldwide. I’m known for my meticulous attention to detail, creative vision, and storytelling expertise, I consistently deliver compelling narratives that resonate with audiences. I have a strong technical proficiency, combined with my ability to collaborate seamlessly within teams, makes me a standout in the industry.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse array of clients, demonstrating my versatility and adaptability in various genres. During high school I started to film my friends mountain biking, eventually making my way to pro slopestyle mountain events as a spector and making fun edits and posting them on Pinkbike. Over that time I developed notoriety for my editing and friendships with some of the athletes and after high school the next thing I knew I was traveling the world making web edits for professional Red Bull athletes and their sponsors, brands like Adidas and Morpheus cycles to name a few.
Along the way I ended up meeting a group of talented filmmakers hailing New York City. I always had an interest in learning more about the world of commercial filmmaking and working on big sets. That's when my new friends suggested I make the jump to New York and intern for them at their production company. I moved to the city sight unseen and started my internship mostly being a production assistant on set and learning from professionals who knew the ins and outs of the industry. Eventually I started to work my way up the chain working as an (AC) assistant camera for notable DOP and Directors like Josh Golman, Ryan Dickie, and Sam Wootton. Slowly working my way to a Camera Op, Gimbal Op, and certified Part 107 drone Pilot. In 2014, I traveled to Ferguson and Baltimore with Yahoo News to document the unrest and protests, showcasing my ability to capture pivotal moments in time.
During my internship I had the opportunity to edit a demo reel for the production company. My editing skills were noticed and I soon began receiving paid opportunities to edit commercial projects for brands like Chanel, American Express, and Budwieser. A big part of my success I owe to the friends I met along the way. Kris Rey-Talley, Phil Pinto, and Antonio Santos.
After a year in the city I felt it was time for me to move back to Colorado where I edited freelance for Crispin Porter & Bugusky. I then launched a 360 VR production company called Frodiga with my good friend and business partner Teo Gustavson. After 3 years of producing videos for a wide range of clients, Epiroc and Zayo to name a couple. We hit hard times and just were not able to keep it a float, so we decided to close our doors and move onto our next ventures. It was through that time I learned so many lessons. It was invaluable.
I felt a calling to go back to doing what I love, which is editing videos. It’s what I’ve always loved. After editing at some local ad agencies in Denver I was approached by Patreon where I edited as a contract video editor for 4 years editing ads, podcasts, YT, Instagram and TikTok shorts and series. Most recently, The Scary Pockets Documentary, which celebrates the band reaching 1 million subscribers on YouTube. And content for the popular YouTube channel Digital Spaghetti, where my work has helped drive episodes to over 4 million views combined. At Patreon I have learned to expand my editing skills beyond commercial production honing my skills for short form content and longform Youtube series.
